Claire is an enthusiastic individual with a heart for people. She is dedicated to bringing positive change and creative solutions to broken places in culture and society. A graduate of Hope College, Claire received a bachelor of arts in athletic training, with a minor in business management. She began her career as an athletic trainer at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN. Claire loves the field of sports medicine specifically because of the unique opportunity to connect with people on a personal level while helping them return to activities they love. Claire has also ridden horses since she was a little girl. Through the years of riding, and many highs and lows tied to horse care, she developed a deep passion for these amazing animals. The restorative and therapeutic power of horses has profoundly impacted Claire’s own life, and she has also witnessed this power in the lives of others.

Originally from Ann Arbor, MI, Claire now resides in Nashville, TN. Outside of working full time in health care, her hyper-creativity has found various other outlets, including logo design, an up-cycled mitten line, and custom painting. Her current endeavor is fund-raising to attend a Social Justice focus school in New Zealand. This is a program through YWAM, and will run from September 2009 through February 2010. The school will provide the basis for her to return to the United States and begin to develop a horse therapy program that will serve the community as well as victims of abuse and trafficking. |
